Bates Named Sun Belt Track Athlete of The Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Emme Bates was awarded the Sun Belt Women's Track Athlete of The Week, announced by the conference office Thursday morning.

Bates earned her win in the 800-meter races to close out the final day of the Bulldog Alumni Relays Saturday in Starkville. Bates led the way with a first-place finish, clocking a time of 2:07.05.

The Golden Eagles are back in action this weekend at the Southern Miss Invitational Friday and Saturday in Hattiesburg.
