Fullerton, Sanders Earn Sun Belt Weekly Honors

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Track and Field sprinters Javel Fullerton and Kennedi Sanders were named Sun Belt Track Athletes of The Week, announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.

Fullerton recorded a runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 50.93, as well as contributing in the 4x400 meter relay to earn a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:11.56. Sanders led the way for the Golden Eagle women with a third-place finish in the 400 meters (53.12) as well as running a leg in the 4x400 meter relay to earn third with a time of 3:42.01.

The Golden Eagles are back in action this weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 17-18 in Atlanta.
