Women's Golf Through Two Rounds of Play at More Than Golf Invitational

AIKEN, S.C. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team sits in the middle of the pack at the More Than Golf Invitational with one round left to play. The Golden Eagles are in sixth as a team, while Louise Cuyvers is in 13^th as the top individual.

Taylor Trible led the Golden Eagles at Old Barnwell Golf Club on Tuesday, as she posted a five-over 78. Trible enjoyed a birdie on the eighth hole, while she slid up 14 spots into a tie for 28^th.
Southern Miss had an eagle for the second-straight day as Fernanda Gorostiaga carded one on the 15^th hole — it was the same hole that Savannah Van Gaalen had an eagle on yesterday.

Gorostiaga's eagle was right after she posted a birdie on the previous hole and she is tied for 28^th. Cuyvers had one birdie on the day, while Liv Romer had a team-high three birdies on the day. Meanwhile, Van Gaalen had back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16. Romer shot a 12-over 85 and is tied for 35^th.

Tulsa and Denver are tied for first, both jumping ahead of Columbia — Augusta and Richmond round out the top five. Kristina Xu (Columbia), Samantha Olson (Tulsa), and Logan Hale (Denver) are all tied for first. Southern Miss will tee off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
