Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Blazer Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss Track and Field heads to Birmingham, Alabama to open the 2026 indoor season at the Blazer Invitational, hosted by UAB. The meet will take place at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Golden Eagles will arrive in Birmingham with 50 total athletes, 25 men and 25 women. The meet consists of 15 other teams alongside Southern Miss, including Sun Belt opponent Georgia State.
Both running and jumping events will begin at 1 p.m., while the final jumping events plan to close out the meet at 4 p.m., respectively. Live results for the meet will be available at https://live.xpresstiming.com/meets/59986/live.
