Johnson was fouled under the basket and hit both her free throws to tie the game 67-67 with 33 to play.
With the paint defended, Georgia Southern kicked the ball out to Cleaveland who pulled up from the arc for her first basket of the game. She was 0-of-3 at that point in the night. Southern Miss was unable to score on its final possession, letting Georgia Southern hold on for their 16th win of the year.
