HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Second-year Southern Miss women's basketball head coach Missy Bilderback today announced the signing of two future Lady Eagles for the 2026-27 roster in South Alabama transfer Chrysta Narcisse and Butler transfer Kennedy Langham.
The two transfers bring a combined five seasons of Division I experience and over 150 games played between them.
Chrysta Narcisse
Narcisse, a native of Lafayette, La., arrives in the Hub City after three seasons in Mobile where after redshirting her freshman season, she became a mainstay in the Jaguar rotation. She was a key part of South Alabama's postseason run in the Sun Belt Tournament, earning a spot on the 2026 All-Tournament Team.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Chrysta to our family," said Bilderback. "Chrysta is a versatile guard who has competed at a high level in our league. She brings the ability to score, stretch the floor, and make plays on both ends of the court. Her athleticism, competitive mindset, and proven scoring ability is a tremendous asset to our roster."
Narcisse played in all 35 games for the Jaguars last season, making 30 total starts on the year. She averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game alongside 81 assists and 38 steals. She reached double-figures in 13 contests and 20 points on two occasions. Her help in the postseason run included a career-high 24 points against Coastal Carolina in the 2026 Sun Belt Tournament.
Her first full season with South Alabama came as a redshirt freshman in 2024-25 where she made 13 starts over 24 games played. She averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in her first collegiate season after redshirting as a true freshman.

Kennedy Langham
Langham, who hails from Harvest, Ala., returns to the south after one season at Butler where she played in every game for the Bulldogs. Before moving to Indianapolis, Langham played two seasons at Samford where she earned second team All-SoCon honors as a sophomore and was named SoCon Freshman of the Year in 2023-24.
"We're excited to welcome Kennedy to our program," said Bilderback. "She is a proven combo guard with significant Division I experience and who has earned all-conference honors. She has established herself as a dynamic scorer and playmaker throughout her career. Her ability to defend the ball and her natural leadership will make an immediate impact for our team."
Langham averaged 5.9 points per game for Butler last season and made 21 starts in her first year with the Big East Bulldogs. She led the team with 49 free throws and posted seven total games with double-figure scoring efforts. She also earned CSC Academic All-District Honors for maintaining a cumulative 3.50 GPA during her career.
Prior to her time at Butler, Langham played two seasons at Samford where she proved to be one of the Bulldogs' best weapons. She earned All-SoCon Second Team honors as a sophomore after averaging 11.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game with 72 total assists and 38 steals. She started in all 31 contests and led Samford in multiple statistical categories. Langham first burst onto the scene in 2023-24 as the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, starting in 13 games and posting 10 with double-figures.
