2026 Home Baseball Promotional Schedule Announced

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced Tuesday its promotional schedule for the 28-game home slate for the 2026 baseball season.

The Golden Eagles, which have been ranked nationally at No. 20 by D1Baseball.com and No. 23 by Perfect Game in their respective preseason polls, opens the regular season against UC Santa Barbara, Friday, Feb. 13, at 4 p.m.

Southern Miss is set to play UC Santa Barbara three times, entertain Alabama, Mississippi State and Ole Miss on consecutive Tuesdays, along with non-conference foes Nicholls North Alabama (three games), Southeastern Louisiana, New Orleans and Tulane in non-conference action. The Golden Eagles also play Sun Belt foes Troy, App State, Texas State, ULM and Georgia Southern in Sun Belt three-game series.

The Golden Eagles open the 2026 season with the preseason nationally ranked Gauchos, in the first meeting between the two programs in their baseball history. We will also have Super Saturday for the middle game of the series, which also include a doubleheader basketball game that day.

Local youth sports teams are invited to bring their squads to the only Wednesday non-conference game at home during the season. Supply is limited for teams, so click here to be a part of this special night.

It will be be Parrothead Day on Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m. The Golden Eagles will wear their special jerseys Parrothead jerseys that day and Lloyd Munn and the Forecasters will play prior to the game. Parrothead items will be on sale on both Friday and Saturday at the park, as well as through select retailers leading up to the weekend.

Recognition for all active and retired military will take place during the Saturday game and for the third-straight year, the Golden Eagles will honor Camp Shelby by wearing their special uniform that day.

We will be giving away a special baseball themed bobblehead during Saturday's game, while also have Seymour Sidekicks Day on Sunday. Free admission to the game for Sidekicks members on Sunday. Bring your credentials or membership and go to ticket window for your free ticket. Then, check into the marketing table to claim a special gift.

It will be Breast Cancer Awareness weekend at the park. The Golden Eagles have partnered with the Pink Ribbon Fund this weekend and will be present at all three games.

The final series of the regular season begins on a Thursday, and the 2026 Golden Eagle senior class will be honored prior to the Friday contest.

Several promotions also return for this season, including baseball card sets given out each Sunday during the regular season (it includes a Saturday May 16 giveaway on the final day of the regular season) as well as Kids Running the Bases after each= Sunday contest. The 50/50 raffle also returns for each home contest during the year.

Eagle Club and season ticket holder single-game tickets go on sale, Tuesday, Jan. 20, while general public single-game tickets will be available, Thursday, Jan. 22, through SouthernMiss.com/Tickets, and the Home Field Ticket Return program returns for the 2026 campaign.
