HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's soccer (0-5-0, 0-0-0 SBC) returns to the Marshall Bell Track & Field and Soccer Complex on Wednesday, Sept. 3, to host Jackson State (1-4-0, 0-0-0 SWAC). Kickoff is 4 p.m. CT in Hattiesburg, and admission is free for all fans.

The Golden Eagles enter with fresh momentum after netting their first goal of the season, a Ryan Smith penalty in the 52nd minute at UAB. Southern Miss created 10 shots (3 on target) and earned a 3–1 edge in corners in that match, reflecting growing confidence in the final third despite the result.
Southern Miss continues to emphasize growth through its young roster, with several newcomers already stepping into key roles. Freshman forward Lorilee Taylor has provided energy and creativity in the attack, while Raquelle Mitchell and Zayla Reagan have been consistent in creating chances up front.
