Women's Tennis Hosts South Alabama Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's tennis (4-11, 0-8 Sun Belt) continues its home stretch against Sun Belt for South Alabama (11-5, 4-3 Sun Belt).
The Golden Eagles are looking to bounce back against the Jaguars after falling to Texas State and Louisiana at home last weekend.
Southern Miss will recognize Hannah Chambers and Malannia Vashkevich before the match for Senior Day.
South Alabama defeated Louisiana 4-0 last weekend , before its game against Texas St. was canceled due to weather. The Jaguars are led by Chems Doha-Zeghlouli with 11 wins and Kenza Elakili with 10 wins in the singles circuit. Their doubles competition teams are guided by Rio Maeda and Delien Kleninhans, with a record of 12-4.
Southern Miss last faced South Alabama in the 2023 spring season, with the Jaguars winning in a 4-0 decision in Hattiesburg.
Following Saturday's match, the Golden Eagles will head to Jonesboro, Ark. on April 12 to face the Arkansas State Red Wolves, followed by the regular season finale against the ULM Warhawks back in Hattiesburg on April 19th.
