Southern Miss Battles in Tight Matches Against New Orleans

New Orleans, La. – The Southern Miss men's tennis team (0-5) put up a fight against New Orleans (4-2) on Saturday afternoon but ultimately fell short in New Orleans. Several Golden Eagles forced competitive sets, with multiple matches remaining unfinished.
In singles play, Olle Noltorp was in a tight battle at Line 1, leading through two sets before the match was ruled unfinished. Ritabrata Sarkar also pushed his opponent to a tiebreak in the first set at Line 3 but was unable to finish before play was called.
Southern Miss continued to show its grit in doubles, where the Line 2 pairing of Saheb Sodhi and Ritabrata Sarkar were locked in a close contest before it went unfinished.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, Feb. 16, hosting Nicholls at 12 p.m.
