HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss senior Saheb Sodhi has been named to the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Second Team All-Conference in Singles.
The Mumbai, India, native is the Golden Eagles' lone honoree after a senior campaign that saw him deliver several of Southern Miss' signature individual results of the season.
Sodhi saved some of his best tennis for the final stretch of the spring. He closed the regular season with a pair of straight set wins at the No. 3 position, earning Sun Belt Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors for the final week of league play. In the road match at Louisiana, Sodhi claimed Southern Miss' lone point of the afternoon with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. He followed it up with a 6-1, 6-1 win over his Nicholls opponent to help the Golden Eagles cap the regular season with a 4-0 sweep.
His résumé also included one of the most notable singles wins on the Southern Miss schedule. On March 8 at the LSU Tennis Complex, Sodhi took down Matias Ponce De Leon of then-No. 6 LSU, 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 6-3, providing the Golden Eagles' only point of the match against the nationally ranked Tigers.
Sodhi carried that form into postseason play in Rome, Ga. As the No. 7 seed, Southern Miss opened the Sun Belt Championship against No. 2 seed Troy on April 17, and Sodhi again delivered the Golden Eagles' lone point with a 6-3, 6-4 win on Court 3 in the 4-1 quarterfinal loss to the Trojans.
A four-year member of the program under head coach Zubin Engineer, Sodhi played a key role in both singles and doubles throughout the season, serving as a steady presence in the middle of the lineup and a regular doubles contributor alongside partners Eric Perkowski and Jose Murariu.
The Second Team nod closes out Sodhi's senior season and caps a Southern Miss career that saw him grow into one of the most reliable players in the Golden Eagle lineup.
