Women's Golf Shoots Past Memphis Before Falling to James Madison at Great River Cup

GULFPORT -- Southern Miss women's golf defeated Memphis in the opening round of the Great River Cup at Windance Country Club on Monday morning. The Golden Eagles then lost a nailbiter to James Madison in the semifinal round this afternoon.

Southern Miss will take on Arkansas State in the third-place match on Tuesday as the Red Wolves lost to ULM. The final round will tee off at 8 a.m. ULM and James Madison will meet in the championship match — the Warhawks are defending champions of the two-day event.
