Cross Country Places Three on All-Conference Teams

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss cross country places Emme Bates, Cadence Lapp, and Lexi Cooper on all-conference teams, as the league office announced Tuesday. These placements are based off their placements at the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships over the weekend in Foley.

Bates, who finished sixth overall, was named first team all-conference for her time of 17:21.90 in the 5k race. She also earned Runner of the Week for her top-ten performance at the Crimson Classic, the highest finisher of all Sun-Belt opponents.

Lapp, who earned second team honors, finished 12th with a time of 17:42.80 at the meet. Lexi Cooper earned her spot as a third team selection with her 21st place finish at 12:55.90.

The Golden Eagles are set to run in the NCAA South Regional on November 14th at 8:30 AM in Hunstville, Alabama.
