The fall showcase features qualifying and main-draw play in both singles and doubles, giving the Golden Eagles a multi-day runway to stack reps, test pairings, and chase deep runs against a loaded regional field. Southern Miss will compete with five student-athletes: Eric Perkowski, Saheb Sodhi, Olle Noltorp, Ritabrata Sarkar, and Jay Temming.
Tournament operations open Thursday with singles qualifying (Rounds of 64 and 32). Sixteen qualifiers will advance into the main draw, and consolation singles begins the same day to ensure match play throughout the week. Friday shifts to the first round of doubles (64), played as an eight-game pro set with a tiebreak at 7–7, followed by the singles Round of 64 and a second round of consolation. Saturday features the doubles Round of 32, then the singles Round of 32 and Round of 16, with main-draw consolation beginning at the Round of 64 stage.
Championship weekend tightens the stakes. Sunday hosts singles quarterfinals and the doubles Round of 16 and quarterfinals, with consolation continuing through the Round of 32 and Round of 16. Monday brings singles semifinals followed by doubles semifinals; those doubles matches are best-of-three sets with a 10-point tiebreak played in lieu of a full third set. The event closes Tuesday with the singles final and third-place match, then the doubles final, again, best-of-three with a 10-point match tiebreak.
Perkowski and Sodhi look to create early break chances by driving returns through the middle and taking time away on second-serve looks. Noltorp and Temming aim to extend rallies and flip baseline exchanges with depth and height. Sarkar's return pressure and transition instincts should generate quick scoreline swings in no-ad moments. In doubles, quick starts matter, Friday's eight-game pro sets compress momentum, putting a premium on first-ball accuracy, middle closes, and verbal poach calls from the opening game.
