Men’s Golf Jumps Four Places Concluding Day Two of the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational

SAUCIER, Miss. -- Southern Miss jumps up four places to cap off round two of three at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational. The Golden Eagles etch a 5-under par on the day with Mississippi native, Walker Wise scoring the low round.

Wise was the second to tee off for the Golden Eagles, starting at 10:40 a.m., in which he picked up three birdies on the front nine and two on the back nine carding a 3-under 69. His performance netted him a jump of 28 places winding down for the day tied for 38^th.

Jake Moffitt and Will Burnham share a 1-under 71, sharing seven birdies between them. Moffitt fired an eagle on hole six, a par-5, and contributed three birdies. Burnham collected four birdies during his round to help Southern Miss jump four ranks into a two-way tie for ninth place with UNLV.

Following his par performance on day one, sophomore Matthew Javier stays steady with another par performance resulting in the Golden Eagles ending the round 5-under par. Supakorn Amornchaichan is tied for 47^th place on par-5's with a stroke average of 4.75 while Benjamin Fernandez tied in fifth place with his performance. Junior Fernandez boasts an average score on par-5's with 4.38, with Fallen Oak Golf Club having four on the course.
