Women's Golf Lands in Alabama for Hoover Invite

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's golf team returns to the links Monday and Tuesday as they travel to Hoover, Ala., for the Hoover Invite.
The Golden Eagles are joined in the 13-team field by Alabama, Georgia, Loyola-Chicago, Kennesaw State, ULM, North Alabama, Palm Beach State, Samford, South Alabama, Stetson, Tennessee Tech, UAB and West Georgia. The field tees of at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with a shotgun start and will play 36 holes at Hoover Country Club. Tuesday's final round will tee off at 8:30 a.m. with another shotgun start.
Southern Miss has tabbed Elena Melich, Momoka Ando, Louise Cuyvers, Jacee Fields, and Alma Betoret to the starting lineup. Taylor Trible will compete in the field as an individual.
The Golden Eagles are no stranger to the par-72, 6,101-yard track as they won the event during the 2022-23 season. Ando finished in second to lead the squad, while Fields finished in 10th and Melich in 12th.
