Men’s Golf Tied for 12th After Second Day at Argent Financial Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Junior transfer Will Burnham (Jackson, Miss.) fired a two-over 74 Monday to lead Southern Miss after two rounds of the Argent Financial Classic in Choudrant, La.
Burnham, who leads the Golden Eagles by being tied for 12th in the individual standings, holds a 36-hole score of 144 at the par 72, 7,105-yard Squire Creek Golf Club.
Freshman Matthew Javier (Toronto, Ontario) enjoyed the best round of the day for the Golden Eagles with a one-73 and sits in a 44th-place tie with a 148.
Both senior Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.) and sophomore Supakorn Amornchaichan (Pattaya City, Thailand) have a two-round total of 151 and a 69th-place tie, after firing a 74 and 81, respectively.
Redshirt sophomore Walker Wise (Tupelo, Miss.) returned to action after missing yesterday's opening round due to illness. Wise fired a five-over 77 in his first round on the links. He will not factor in the individual standings for the event.
The Golden Eagles totaled a 298 overall score in the second round for a 36-hole total 590 to give Southern Miss a three-way tie for 12th along with ULM and Abilene Christian.
