HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Freshman Matthew Javier (Toronto, Ontario) shot a team-low even par 72 over the final round of the Argent Financial Classic, Tuesday, at Squire Creek Golf Club in Choudrant, La., as Southern Miss placed 12th in the 18-team event.
Junior Will Burnham (Jackson, Miss.) added a 75 at the par 72, 7,105-yard course to finish with the low place in the tournament for the Golden Eagles, tied for 20th, with an overall stroke total of 219. Javier finished one stroke back at 220 and placed in a 29th-place tie.
Sophomore Supakorn Amornchaichan (Pattaya City, Thailand) fired a 75 as well to end his 54-hole tournament with a 226 and in a 64th-place tie. Senior Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.) added a 76 over his final circuit for a 227 total and a 71st-place tie.
