After a Lawson Odom sacrifice get Russo to second, Broadus took a 1-0 Langevin pitch back up the middle and the pinch runner, Eli Collins, raced around to score what proved to the be the winning run.

After Mazza, the Golden Eagles went to Colby Allen to close out the game. Allen was greeted with an infield single and a walk to open the frame, before getting a popout. That brought up Friday night's hero, Kyle DeBarge, who hit the go-ahead three-run homer in the previous night's game. He promptly singled up the middle to score two and tie the game.
Allen eventually got out of the eighth and then gave up a leadoff single to open the ninth, before fanning the last three batters he faced to collect the victory and improve to 5-2. He gave up three hits and a walk on two runs (one earned) with three strikeouts over the final two innings.
Langevin suffered the loss and fell to 4-1.
