Golden Eagles Set for Road Matches at Troy and Georgia State

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss (4-6, 0-2 Sun Belt) women's tennis starts a four-game road swing this weekend as they start the trip at Troy (7-6, 1-2 Sun Belt) on Saturday at 10 a.m. CST. They then head over to Atlanta to face Georgia State (4-10, 0-3 Sun Belt) on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. CST.
The Golden Eagles' last scheduled match was canceled due to inclement weather. Though it was a rainy weekend in Hattiesburg, they managed to get a match in on Saturday against No. 67 Old Dominion. The Monarchs won the match 4-2, but Southern Miss took the doubles point thanks to wins from Hannah Chambers/Zenn Lim and Angelina Blinova/Malannia Vashkevich.

Troy comes into the match at 7-6 overall, losing three of its last four matches. Two of those were Sun Belt matches against App State and Marshall. The Trojans will host the Golden Eagles before heading to South Alabama for their next match. Georgia State has lost its last four matches and have an overall record of 4-10. The Panthers have dropped Sun Belt matches to Marshall, Coastal Carolina and Marshall.
