Quick Turnaround Sends Women's Golf to MountainView Collegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – After a short two-day break, Southern Miss women's golf has a quick turnaround as it heads to Saddlebrooke, Az. for the MountainView Collegiate. The three-day event hosted by Kansas State and Missouri starts on Friday at The Preserve Golf Club.
The Golden Eagles finished the Tulane Classic on Tuesday, where they were paced by Momoka Ando's 11-place finish after three rounds of two-over par golf. Elena Melich joined Ando in the top-30 after finishing the tournament 10-over par. Southern Miss finished in 13th as a team.
Head coach Lucy Nunn Burke tabbed the following for her lineup this weekend: Elena Melich, Alma Betoret, Momoka Ando, Ragini Navet and Merche Corbacho. The 15-team field includes Kansas State, Missouri, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Houston, Iowa State, Minnesota, Oklahoma, South Florida, Southern Miss, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Tulsa and UNLV.
This year marks the fifth time Southern Miss has played in the event. Its best finish was a tie for 12th in 2021. The course is playing as a par-72, 6,345-yard track. Southern Miss will tee off at 9:45 a.m. CST on Friday morning on hole 10. Golfers will go off every 10 minutes until 10:21 a.m. CST.
