Betoret Leads Golden Eagles Through 18 Holes in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Through one round of Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein, Alma Betoret leads all Golden Eagles following a one-over par 73 round on Sunday at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans.
Betoret posted a pair of birdies over the first four holes to set the tone for her round. She added another birdie on the back nine to put her in a tie for 11th after Sunday's round. Momoka Ando is in a tie for 17th following a two-over 74 that included three birdies on the back nine. Elena Melich is the only other Golden Eagle in the top-50 following a four-over 76.
As a team, Southern Miss is tied for ninth with Central Arkansas. Notre Dame leads the 17-team field after the Irish posted a three-over par round. Missouri, Cal Poly, Iowa and Colorado State round out the top-five teams.
The Golden Eagles resume play on Monday morning with Ragini Navet teeing off at 8:30 a.m. The rest of the Souther Miss players will tee off every 12 minutes starting at 9:54 a.m.
