
Men's Golf Travels to Puerto Rico for the Dorado Beach Collegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team continues its spring season Sunday at the Dorado Beach Collegiate, being played at the par 72, 7,112-yard TPC Dorado Beach-Sugarcane Course in Puerto Rico.
The three-day, 54-hole event features a 17-team field including host UNCG, along with Ball State, Butler, Bryant, Denver, George Mason, Illinois State, Kent State, ULM, Maryland, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, UTSA, Valparaiso, Army West Point, West Virginia and Winthrop. The teams start with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. local time.
This tournament is the second event for Southern Miss spring, after finishing seventh in the Hal Williams Collegiate earlier this month in Mobile.
The Golden Eagles plan to utilize the five-team squad of Robbie Latter, Thongpipat Rattanayanon, Bennett Ruby, Cameron Guidry and Ryan Dupuy. Supakorn Amornchaichan will play as an individual in the tournament.
Latter has led the way for the Golden Eagles this season with the lowest per round average on the team with a 71.33, as well as three top 10 finishes. Despite playing in only two events, Ruby ranks next in lowest per round average at 72.67. Ruby enjoyed his highest finest of his career in his last outing with a 10th-place tie.
