Men's Tennis Set for Season Opener at UAB

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's tennis team will finally make its long-awaited season debut on Monday at UAB (2-3). Due to weather in the Birmingham area, the match will be played in Tuscaloosa at 12 p.m.
"It feels like we have been waiting a long time to play our first match, but I am happy the day is finally here," said head coach Zubin Engineer. "We're going to make the most of our opportunity and compete against a quality UAB team."
The Golden Eagles had to postpone their first two weekends of tennis due to weather and COVID-19 within the program. Engineer welcomes back a group that includes newcomer Olle Noltorp. Noltorp, a native of Sweden, joined Southern Miss at the start of the semester.
