Beach Volleyball Falls Twice to Nationally-Ranked Opponents

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Southern Miss drops two matches against nationally-ranked teams in first day of Unconquered Invitational. Top-flight pair Ola Chudzik and Vanessa Hurnikova earned a team-best 17th win at the first position.
Game One – No. 3 Florida State 5, Southern Miss 0
Southern Miss (15-14) dropped their opening match against third-ranked Florida State. The Seminoles managed two-set victories over all five flights. Chudzik and Hurnikova managed close sets against their competition at the first pairing.

The Golden Eagles dropped their second match of the tournament and last of the day to old Conference USA foe Florida Atlantic.
Southern Miss's Chudzik and Hurnikova won their 17th pair victory of the year. The Madison Cassidy and Kellie Garraway force three sets against the Owls' fifth pairing.
