Beach Volleyball Heads to Fort Worth for Two Days in Lone Star State

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss beach volleyball continues its road trip to Fort Worth, Texas for four matches at TCU's Horned Frogs Challenge. The Golden Eagles face off against No. 4 LSU, Texas A&M - Kingsville and No. 1 TCU.
Last Time Out
Southern Miss (6-3) finished 1-3 at the FAU March Invitational, falling to Palm Beach Atlantic, Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and No. 13 Florida Atlantic. The Golden Eagles bested Saint Leo in a 5-0 sweep of the Lions to grab their sixth win of the year.
Top flight pairing of Ola Chudzik and Vanessa Hurnikova finished the weekend 2-2 to move to 6-2 on the year.
Previewing the Matches
Southern Miss has played each of their three weekend opponents prior to the weekend's meetings as they are 0-3 against LSU, 3-0 against TAMUK and 0-3 against TCU.
Coach Shawn Taylor and his crew open play Friday, March 10, with No. 4 LSU (9-0) and finish the first day of the tournament against Texas A&M - Kingsville.
Saturday, March 11's matches open against top-ranked TCU and close with a second match against TAMUK. The TCU match is the first time the Golden Eagles have ever faced off against a top-ranked foe.
