HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss beach volleyball heads down to Boca Raton, Fla. for four games at Florida Atlantic' FAU March Invitational. Matches begin Friday, March 4, and last until Saturday, March 5.
Last Time Out
Southern Miss (5-0) swept the Hub City Beach Bash last weekend, dropping only one dual across five matches played. The Golden Eagles bested Chattanooga, Spring Hill, Southeastern (twice) and William Carey to end the weekend 5-0, setting a new record for best start in program history.
Previewing the Tournament
Southern Miss is 0-4 against the four opponents in the tournament, holding 0-2 series records against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and No. 13 Florida Atlantic. The matches against Pam Beach Atlantic and Saint Leo are firsts for the Golden Eagles.
Play begins on Friday, March 3, at 7:30 a.m. CT / 8:30 a.m. ET against Palm Beach Atlantic. The final match for the Golden Eagles is at 11:30 a.m. CT / 12:30 p.m. ET against Saint Leo.
Saturday, March 4, features two matches, one against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and one against host and nationally-ranked Florida Atlantic. First serve against Corpus is set for 7:30 a.m. CT / 8:30 a.m. ET and the match against old C-USA foe FAU is set for 9:30 a.m. CT / 10:30 ET.
