Men’s Golf Finishes in 11th Place at Fallen Oak Collegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Senior Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) fired a final round 72 as Southern Miss finished the Fallen Oak Collegiate in 11th place Tuesday afternoon in Saucier, Miss.
The tournament, which took place at the par-72, 7,487-yard Fallen Oak Golf Course, saw the Golden Eagles shoot a 307 over the final 18 holes in the three-day, 54-hole event event.
Latter finished tied for 12th as he led the Golden Eagles with 11 birdies in the tournament.
Auburn won the team crown on the strength of a 21-under 843, beating second-place Ole Miss (862) by 19 strokes. Mississippi State finished third at 865.
The Golden Eagles ended their three-day total with an 898 in the 12-team field.
Junior Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.) added a final-round 78 to post a 224 total and a 35th-place tie. Senior Thongpipat Rattanayanon (Bangkok, Thailand) added a 77 on his first day for a 230 and a 56th-place tie, while Supakorn Amornchaichan (Pattaya City, Thailand) collected an 80 for a 232 to end in 64th place. Redshirt freshman Walker Wise (Tupelo, Miss.) rounded out the scoring with an 81 for a 238 total to end with a 70th-place tie.
Fellow junior, Cameron Guidry of Picayune, Miss., who was playing as an individual, ended his tournament with a final-round 80. His total score of 239 tied him for 53rd-place.
The Golden Eagles play in one more tournament this fall when they Charleston, S.C., when they play in the Daniel Island Collegiate, Oct. 29-31.
