Track and Field Host Annual Southern Miss Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss track and field team returns to the Marshall Bell Track Complex on Friday and Saturday for its annual home meet.

"We're always excited to compete at home in front of our fans and family," said head coach Jon Stuart. "We have some excellent across all event areas that sets up to be an exciting competition for our student-athletes.

Southern Miss welcomes Alcorn State, Belhaven, Coahoma CC, Delta State, Dillard, Grambling State, Hinds CC, Jackson State, Loyola-New Orleans, Meridian CC, Mississippi College, Mississippi University for Women, MVSU, Mobile, Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana, South Alabama, Spring Hill and Xavier-Louisiana.

The meet is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. CT on Friday with the triple jump, hammer and javelin. Saturday's action will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. CT with the men's long jump, while running events will begin at 12:10 with the women's 5000m.
