Men's Tennis Travels to Alabama Tournament to Finish Fall Slate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's tennis team will travel to the CCB Collegiate Invite this weekend to close out its Fall tournament slate. The three-day event will start on Friday, Nov. 4 at The Country Club of Birmingham. The final rounds will be played on Sunday, Nov. 6.
The Golden Eagles will be joined by LSU, UAB, Belmont, Samford, LSU, Washington, North Alabama, East Tennessee State, Birmingham Southern, Louisiana, Tylane and South Alabama. The tournament will feature three singles brackets and three doubles brackets.
Shamirul Shahril and Olimjon Nabiev headline the Crimson Singles Draw. Both will play Friday morning at 9 a.m. against Julien Penzlin (LSU) and Joao Ferreira (Alabama), respectively. The White Singles Draw features Pasawee Reansuwong and Saheb Sodhi. Reansuwong opens his draw against UAB's Carlos Gimenez at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Sodhi is slated to play George Stoupe of LSU at 10:30 a.m. Pawin Jirapoomdaje and Taras Ignatiuk will compete in the Houndstooth Singles Draw.
Southern Miss doubles teams this weekend include Olimjon Nabiev/Saheb Sodhi (Crimson Draw), Pasawee Reansuwong/Saheb Sodhi (White Draw) and Taras Ignatiuk/Pawin Jirapoomdaje (Houndstooth Draw). All three doubles teams will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
