HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Following a thrilling win at Vanderbilt on Friday night, the Southern Miss (2-0, 0-0 SBC) men's basketball team returns home on Monday night to host Loyola New Orleans (3-0, 0-0 SSAC). Tip off against the reigning NAIA National Champions is set for 7 p.m. inside Reed Green Coliseum.

The Need to Know
- Southern Miss is coming off a 60-48 win at Vanderbilt on Friday night. It was the first win – not including vacated games – against an SEC opponent since the Black and Gold beat Ole Miss in 2011
- The Golden Eagles got a team-high 14 points from Felipe Haase. The Chilean forward went 4-of-8 from deep
- DeAndre Pinckney had the first double-double of any Golden Eagle this season after recording 11 points and 11 rebounds
- As of Saturday, Southern Miss ranks 8th in scoring defense, 10th in steals per game, 11th in turnover margin and 16th in turnovers forced
- Austin Crowley scored 15 points in his Southern Miss debut against William Carey. Crowley then added 13 points in the Vanderbilt win. It was the second-straight game in which he scored at least 10 points against the 'Dores.
- Southern Miss won the paint battle for the second consecutive game this season
- Southern Miss forced 13 turnovers, which ties for the most forced against a Division I opponent under Ladner. The other game was against Southern Illinois in 2019
- Jay Ladner will square off against his son, Luke, for the second time in his career. Jay owns the bragging rights after beating the Wolf Pack in 2020.

Scouting the Wolf Pack
- First-year head coach Donald Reyes has the Wolf Pack off to a 3-0 start after their historic season last year
- They are coming off an 89-81 win against Southern University at New Orleans on Saturday afternoon
- Loyola New Orleans suffered a 90-72 loss to Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 7. The loss does not count on its record.
- Jalen Galloway leads all Wolf Pack players in scoring at 23.3 points per game
- They have five players who average at least 10 points per game: Galloway (23.3), Milan Mejia (16.3), Michael Harden (12.3), Leonard Jackson (11.0) and Matthew Mondesir (10.0)

- Monday will mark the 30th meeting between the two programs, while Southern Miss enjoys a 16-13 lead in the all-time series
