
Men’s Golf Improves to Second Place after Second Day at White Sands Bahamas Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Four Southern Miss men's golfer shot below par Saturday to help the Golden Eagles move up to second place in the team standings after the second day of the White Sands Bahamas Invitational taking place in Nassau.
Both Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.) and Thongpipat Rattanayanon (Bangkok, Thailand) fired a three-under 69, while both Cameron Clarke (Pittsboro, Miss.) and Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) each added a 71 to help the Golden Eagles move up two spots to second place in the team event.
Bennett Ruby of Waterloo, Ontario, playing as an individual, added a 78, while Tommy Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) posted an 80 to round out the Golden Eagle scoring at the par 72, 7,159-yard Ocean Golf Club course.
Dupuy, who was tied for first after the opening round, now finds himself tied for second place, just two strokes behind Max Schliesing of UTEP with a nine-under 135 stroke total.
Both Rattanayanon and Clarke are tied for 17th with a three-under 141, while Robbie Latter is tied for 56th at 149. Ruby is just one stroke behind at 150 and in a 58th-place tie, while Tommy Latter is tied for 60th at 151.
No. 38 Duke shot a 17-under 271 to lead the tournament with a 29-under 547, while the Golden Eagles are 12 strokes back in second place at 559. Arkansas State is in third at 560 and Sam Houston ranks fourth at 563.
The final round will begin at 7 a.m., CT with shotgun scoring.
