Men’s Golf Travels South for the White Sands Bahamas Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team looks to conclude the fall portion of its schedule with a third team tournament championship when they travel to Nassau for the White Sands Bahamas Invitational, Oct. 28-30, at the par 72,7,159-yard Ocean Club Golf Course.
The 12-team field will play 18 holes Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes host VCU, the Golden Eagles, Arkansas State, Delaware, Duke, ULM, Nebraska, Sam Houston, Stetson, Texas State, Troy and UTEP.
In the last national rankings, the Golden Eagles hold a No. 44 spot by GolfStat.com as well as No. 50 slot in the GolfWeek.com standings.
The Golden Eagles are 53-9 against opponents over their first four tournaments of 2022-23 including team championships at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate and the Little Rock Invitational.
Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.), who also was the individual medalist for the Little Rock Invitational for his first collegiate victory, leads the team in lowest stroke average at 70.25. Cameron Clarke (Pittsboro, Miss.) ranks next in stroke average at 70.75.
Another tournament winner, Thongpipat Rattanyanon (Bangkok, Thailand), captured the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate and holds the third lowest stroke average on the team at 71.92.
The trio, along with Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) and Tommy Latter (Mississauga, Ontario), make up the Golden Eagle roster for the event. Bennett Ruby (Waterloo, Ontario).
