Golden Eagles Wrap Up Time at ITA Southern Regionals

BATON ROUGE, La.—The Southern Miss women's tennis team wrap up their time in Baton Rouge Friday at the ITA Southern Regionals after three days of battling it out on the court.

Freshman Hannah Chambers and sophomore Alyssa Richter's victory in the doubles competition came to an end when in the round of 16, they were defeated 8-4 by Anastasiya Komar and Nikita Vishwase of Louisiana State University.

Later that day, junior Suhana Das lost in three sets with the scores 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, against Tiger opponent Maggie Cubitt in the singles round of 32.

Petra Sedlackova of Alabama overcame returner Clara Tardivel in two sets, 6-2, 6-0, to end the Golden Eagles competition.

Looking Ahead
Southern Miss is set to participate in the Ragin' Cajun Invitational in Lafayette, La., on Nov. 4-5. The tournament will be hosted by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and will be the last fall competition for the Golden Eagles.
