HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The University of Southern Mississippi, in conjunction with CLC, the University's exclusive trademark licensing agency, have partnered with country music star Adam Doleac and Light Cave Entertainment to launch an exclusive line of apparel and headwear known as the "Southern Made" Collection.
Doleac, a proud alumnus and former baseball player for Southern Miss, will help promote the collection at a gameday concert to open the Spirit Lake Concert Series on Saturday, September 11, prior to the Golden Eagle's 6:00 pm kick-off of the football game against Grambling State.
"As a former student-athlete and alumnus, we are proud of Adam and all that he is accomplishing in country music," said Brad Smith, senior associate athletic director for external operations. "This new Southern Made merchandise collection builds on his passion for the University and his Hattiesburg roots while giving our fans unique merchandise for showing their Southern Miss pride."
Doleac traded a promising baseball career for the stage, subsequently releasing breakout singles "Whiskey's Fine," "Solo," "Wake Up Beautiful," "Famous," and "Key to the City." He is currently on the Comeback Tour with the Zac Brown Band but will leave the tour for a special stop for the convert at Southern Miss.
"Kicking off Southern Miss football and returning home to Hattiesburg is special in itself but launching the Southern Made co-branded fashion collection with the University is really a next level honor for me," said Doleac. "The collection brings together two of my favorite things—Southern Miss and my music—and I hope fans of both will enjoy that merchandise we've put together."
The Southern Made Collection will launch with products from officially licensed partners Legacy Headwear/L2 and Original Retro Brand. The specially curated product line features designs inspired by Southern Miss and Doleac that includes the vintage Golden Eagle, nods to the Hub City, baseball iconography, and Doleac's signature aesthetic.
"We are proud to work with our partners at Southern Miss and Adam Doleac to help develop the Southern Made Collection as a unique product offering that combines music and school spirit with unique attributes and traditions of the University," said Ben Emmons, vice president of brand marketing at CLC. "We look forward to continuing to build upon this amazing collection with additional licensees and products in years to come."
The Southern Made Collection will be available Campus Book Mart in Hattiesburg.
