Saturday, 9 a.m. - South Carolina
Saturday, 11:30 a.m. - Georgia State
This weekend marks the third and second meetings with the No. 18 Gamecocks and No. 19 Panthers, respectively. Nine of the Golden Eagles' matches so far have come against ranked foes as well. UAB had to pull out due to COVID-19 protocols within its program. In each battle with South Carolina, Kylie Grandy and Abbey Wilson claimed a victory on No. 1, while Georgia State earned a 5-0 win in the opening weekend in Tallahassee, Fla.
Southern Miss nearly pulled off the upset over then-No. 18 Georgia State on March 9, 2019, falling 3-2 in what was the program's first ranked matchup in its inaugural season. Madison Lawler and Jessica Austin earned a No. 5 win there, while Olivia Hepworth and Breleigh Favre also emerged victorious on No. 4.
Grandy and Wilson are a team-best 14-9 on the year, including winning eight of their last 10. They are also ranked No. 29 and 30 nationally as individuals and No. 18 for primary No. 1 duos. The Golden Eagles have utilized 12 different pair combinations over the course of the season, stretching it even more over the recent homestand. Favre and Garraway have played four-straight together after Favre was with Hepworth the first 19 contests.
Garraway and Madison Lawler are the lone late arrivals from the indoor volleyball season. Lawler and Hepworth are 2-2 over the last week since joining forces.
