Beach Volleyball Set for Home Finales on Tuesday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss beach volleyball team will host Southeastern Louisiana (2 p.m.) and New Orleans (6 p.m.) on Tuesday for its final home matches. Admission is free.
Southern Miss is 3-4 at home, including a win over ULM to open the Southern Miss Beach Invitational from April 2-3. This past weekend, it battled No. 18 South Carolina and No. 19 Georgia State twice, falling each time.
The Golden Eagles have 5-0 and 4-1 wins over New Orleans this year, one in Baton Rouge and the other at home. Southern Miss also defeated Southeastern in its only head-to-head of the year, a 4-0 decision on March 29 at home.
Abbey Wilson (No. 26 nationally) and Kylie Grandy (No. 27) boast a team-best 16-11 mark, all on No. 1. The Black and Gold have utilized 16 different combinations, including on the extra No. 6 court. Freshmen Faith Miller and Haley Rogers got their first action on No. 2 Sunday as well.
Olivia Hepworth competed exclusively with Breleigh Favre through March 29 but has split the last eight matches between Hallie Phelan and Madison Lawler. Haley Hop's bout with Kellie Garraway on Sunday was also their first of the season.
