Beach Volleyball Remains at Home for Four Weekend Matches

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Fresh off four home matches Monday, the Golden Eagle beach volleyball team is staying in town for the Southern Miss Beach Invitational, Friday-Saturday.
Friday's Schedule
10 a.m. - ULM vs. UAB
12 p.m. - Tulane vs. Spring Hill
2 p.m. - Southern Miss vs. ULM
4 p.m. - UAB vs. Tulane
6 p.m. - Southern Miss vs. Spring Hill
Saturday's Schedule
10 a.m. - UAB vs. Spring Hill
12 p.m. - ULM vs. Tulane
2 p.m. - Southern Miss vs. UAB
4 p.m. - ULM vs. Spring Hill
6 p.m. - Southern Miss vs. Tulane
As far as the field goes, it marks the second meeting with UAB, which came out ahead 4-1 at TCU on March 5. Southern Miss also went 2-0 against ULM in its 5-2, COVID-shortened 2020 season. The Golden Eagles faced Tulane four times in its inaugural season, with the Green Wave taking each
Southern Miss won two of its three Monday matches, defeating New Orleans and Southeastern 4-1 and 4-0, respectively, while falling to Spring Hill 3-2 in the middle. It marked the season debuts of Madison Lawler and Kellie Garraway from the indoor squad, where they earned a 21-10, 21-17 win over Spring Hill.
The day also saw three-match sweeps for Kylie Grandy/Abbey Wilson and Haley Hop/Valeria Siakidou Papakyriakou.Â
