BOCA RATON, Fla. – Southern Miss women's basketball coach Joye Lee-McNelis has the opportunity to join an elite group of just 83 other D1 women's basketball coaches this weekend, as she currently sits at 499 career wins and is one shy of the 500 mark. Her team will face the Florida Atlantic Owls on Friday at 4 p.m. CT and Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at the FAU Arena for the final two games of the regular season.
"We're really looking forward to the weekend," McNelis said. "FAU is a very good basketball team. The Lady Eagles will have a tough challenge ahead of us. We look forward to it and will give it our best shot."

• Head Coach Jim Jabir is in his fourth season at the helm of the Owls.
• FAU welcomes four first-year members to the squad. Iggy Allen is a graduate transfer from Miami, Rita Pleskevich transferred from Washington, Bre Beck is a junior college transfer from Wabash Valley and Kimia Carter joins FAU after one year at Stetson.
