Scouting Georgia State
• Head coach Gene Hill is in his fourth season at the helm of the Panthers and has posted a record of 42-49 throughout his time with Georgia State.
• Georgia State enters Wednesday's matchup riding a two-game win streak.
• The Panthers edged out Alabama A&M on the road by a score of 62-61 on Nov. 22. GSU then knocked off the Chattanooga Mocs in Tennessee by a score of 77-66 on Nov. 27.
• Georgia State looks to defend home court with a record of 4-3 to open the season.
• Ashley Foster and Taylor Henderson have led the way for Georgia State offensively, as the upperclassmen duo averages over 20 points per game combined.
• GSU's roster features eight upperclassmen and seven underclassmen, providing a splash of youth and student-athletes with significant collegiate experience.
Scouting Southern Miss
• Transfer Domonique Davis has made her presence with the Lady Eagles felt immediately as she became the first USM player to take home C-USA Player of the Week honors since 2019 last week.
• Lauren Gross put up a season-high 15 points against MVSU on Nov. 27, netting three 3's in the victory.
• Macy Weaver earned her first career start in the loss against Pine Bluff, where she posted a new career-high in points with eight.
• Southern Miss has scored more than 50% of its points from inside the paint in all but two contests this season.
