
Southern Miss Looks to Continue Streak at LA Tech

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Coming off three-straight C-USA victories, the Lady Eagles will look to continue their winning ways against Louisiana Tech on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. CT from the Thomas Assembly Center. The Black and Gold return to Reed Green Coliseum on Saturday for a 4 p.m. CT showdown with the Lady Techsters.
Thursday's game will be broadcast on CUSA.tv, while Lee Roberts and Larry Boyd will have the call on ESPN+ Saturday. Jason Baker will be on the call for the Southern Miss Radio Network, broadcast on 92.7 "The Score" and presented by Learfield IMG College for both contests.
Scouting the Lady Techsters
• Head Coach Brooke Stoehr is in her fifth season at the helm of the Lady Techsters.
• LA Tech returns eight players from a team that went 15-15 a season ago.
• The Lady Techsters were picked to finish ninth in the conference by the league's coaches.
• Keiunna Walker leads Tech in scoring, averaging 16.0 PPG so far this season.
• LA Tech is one of the top defensive teams in C-USA, ranking No. 1 in turnovers forced per game (19.1), No. 2 in scoring defense (59.6 PPGA), and No. 2 in turnover margin (+3.21).
Scouting the Lady Eagles
• Southern Miss is coming off a sweep of UTSA, which saw the Lady Eagles score a season high 88 points during Friday's game.
• Kahia Warmsley was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week after her performances against UTSA. Warmsley posted back-to-back career highs going for 11 on Friday and 25 on Saturday. The scoring display in the second game was the most points by a Lady Eagle this season.
• The Black and Gold have won the last three games against LA Tech with all three games being decided by a combined 12 points.
• Brikayla Gray and Melyia Grayson are both shining in their debut season with the Lady Eagles as the pair are combining to average 19.2 PPG.
• Through the first 10 games, Southern Miss has changed its starting lineup in seven of 10. Eleven of 13 players on the roster have made a start for the Lady Eagles.
