
Women’s Soccer Welcomes Three New Additions to 2020 Recruiting Class

Mya Ryan, Blessing Kingsley, and Elis Klein Spindola are the newest members of the Golden Eagle soccer program.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Head Coach Mohammed El-Zare has announced the addition of three new members to the Southern Miss women's soccer program.
Mya Ryan, Blessing Kingsley, and Elis Klein Spindola will begin their Golden Eagle careers as freshmen in the Fall of 2020.
Mya Ryan

- Advanced to the USC Cup in Colorado with her Dynamos Soccer Club
- Scored four goals as a defender for her Dynamos Soccer Club in 2019
- Competed in swimming at Cypress Ranch High School

- 2018 Wexford Youths Women's U17 Player of the Year
- Voted the 2018 Viking Cup U16 Star of the Tournament
- Won the 2018 Continental Tyres Women's National League Championship and the 2018 Continental Tyres FAI Women's Cup Development Shield
- Was the top goal scorer on the Hanover Harps FC U16 squad for the 2017 season
- Hanover Harps FC 2016 Player of the Year
- Won an All-Ireland Championship with Carlow in 2014 (indoor soccer)
- U12 All-Ireland Champion (indoor soccer)
- 2014 U16 Féile Finalists (Gaelic football)
- Won a bronze medal in the U14 All-Ireland 4x100m relay (track & field)

Elis Klein Spindola
Forward | Darmstadt, Germany | Lichtenbergschule Gymnasium Darmstadt Europaschule | Eintrach Frankfurt | TSV Schott Mainz
- Led her Eintracht Frankfurt team in goals scored and minutes played
- Played in 12 matches with TSV Schott Mainz as a center midfielder, earning 11 starts
- Registered four assists and one goal with TSV Schott Mainz
- Granddaughter of former Olympic swimmer Hans-Joachim Klein who represented Germany in the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics. At the 1964 Summer Olympics, Klein won silver medals in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay, the men's 4x100m medley relay, and the men's 4x100m freestyle relay and a bronze medal in the men's 100m freestyle. From 1962-1963 Klein was a member of the USC men's swimming & diving team and in 1965, he was named German Sportspersonality of the Year
