Four Golden Eagles Set for the NCAA Outdoor Championships

Parker, Richards, Warren and West are rearing to go in Austin, Texas.
AUSTIN, Texas – Four members of the Golden Eagles track team are ready to compete for a national title at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas.Â
Â
Caleb Parker will be competing in the 110m hurdles, Eric Richards in the high jump, John Warren in the triple jump, and McKinely West in the 100m.Â
Â
The meet will be broadcast on ESPN3 for almost every event each day. Both Parker and West will compete on day one of the meet, with the schedule for Wednesday slated for 5:02pm CT for the 110m hurdles and 5:16pm CT for the 100m. Both will be the semifinal rounds. Friday will see action from Richards and Warren, with the high jump set to compete at 7pm and triple jump at 7:40. The finals for the 110m hurdles and 100m are set for 8:12pm and 8:22pm.Â

Parker broke the school record and his personal best at the NCAA East Regional Preliminary rounds, where he clocked a time of 13.52 in the hurdles. He placed fourth in the semi-final rounds.Â

Richards jumped to a height of 7'2.25" at the Preliminaries placing fourth, just under his season best height of 7'2.5".Â

Warren found himself placing fifth at Regionals after jumping to a mark of 52'6.5" in the triple jump. His season best was at the Southern Miss Open where he jumped to a distance of 53'4.25".

West qualified for Nationals with a time of 10.21 at the Prelims, placing sixth in the semi-finals. His season-best came at the LSU Alumni Gold meet where he finished second in 10.13.
