John Warren Tabbed Male Field Athlete of the Week for Conference USA

This is his second weekly accolade of the outdoor season.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – John Warren has earned his secondly weekly accolade from Conference USA, Male Field Athlete of the Week, the Conference announced Tuesday.

Warren earned the honor after a successful weekend at the third annual Southern Miss Open held at the Golden Eagles' home track, the Marshall Bell Track Complex. A standout in the triple jump, Warren took the event with ease, jumping to a distance of 53'4.25". Warren remains first in the Conference, and moves into the No. 7 slot in the NCAA.

Along with his success in the triple jump, Warren placed second in the long jump with a mark of 24'6.5". He is ranked No. 5 in the conference and No. 74 in the NCAA.

Warren is projected to compete at a high level at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, slated for May 9-12 in Charlotte, N.C.
