Lady Eagles Close Out Regular Season at Charlotte

Southern Miss will try to extend its four-game win streak and sweep the series against the 49ers.
CHARLOTTE, NC – The Lady Eagles have taken flight and landed in Charlotte, NC for their last regular-season game of the year. Southern Miss will face the Charlotte 49ers on Thursday evening, with tip set for 6pm CT in Halton Arena.
Southern Miss (17-11, 9-6) looks to extend its four-game winning streak and sweep the series against Charlotte (16-11, 8-7) on Thursday night.
Shonte Hailes continues to lead her team in both points with 323 and assists with 118. Kelsey Jones still leads the team in rebounds with 134. For the 49ers, Jade Phillips leads in points with 333 and rebounds with 201. Laia Raventos leads in assists with 104.
Megan Brown, the lone senior for the Lady Eagles, scored her 1,000th career point on her senior night in Reed Green Coliseum against the UTSA Roadrunners. She now has 1,001 points and counting.
In Conference USA, the Lady Eagles continue to lead in rebounding defense and defensive rebound percentage, and come in second for rebounding margin. Kelsey Jones leads in field goal percentage, Hailes is second in assists, Alarie Mayze is second in steals, and Amber Landing is tied for third in blocks. On the national scale, the Lady Eagles rank in the top-100 for four categories. Southern Miss is No. 33 in field goal percentage, No. 47 in rebound margin, No. 53 in scoring defense, and No. 85 in turnovers forced.
