Southern Miss Men’s Golf Set to Play Host to Jerry Weeks Match Play Event Monday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team will play host to the Jerry Weeks Match Play Tournament Monday, April 1, at the par 72, 6,902-yard Hattiesburg Country Club.
The Golden Eagles will play Conference USA foe Louisiana Tech, while Sun Belt Conference members Louisiana-Lafayette and South Alabama will take on each other as both matches begin at 8 a.m. The winners of the first two matches will play the championship match at 1:05 p.m., with the consolation round taking place at 12:30 p.m.
The match play event will consists of five head-to-head matches in a best-of-five competition to determine a winner.
The Southern Miss-Louisiana Tech match will tee off of No. 1, while UL and USA starts off No. 10. The consolation and championship rounds will each start on No. 1.
This is the second consecutive year that the Southern Miss men's golf program has played host to this event.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
