HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss will make its long-awaited home return Sunday at 1 p.m. CT when it hosts Florida A&M.
The Golden Eagles (6-5), winners of two-straight at Appalachian State and UNC Greensboro this weekend, will look to continue its success in its first home contest since Jan. 28. Admission is free for all fans. Jorman Reyes has been arguably the team's top performer, boasting six singles wins and holding the best doubles record alongside Ronit Bisht. The squad as a whole has steadily improved in doubles as it finds its best lineups, and winning that point in each of the last two wins paved the way for its sweeps.
Southern Miss also boasts one of the better home-court defenses in Conference USA, sitting at 27-4Â since the start of the 2017 season.
The Rattlers had a pair of All-MEAC performers last year and carry similar stature this year, despite their graduation. The Golden Eagles defeated FAMU 4-0 last year and 4-1 the previous season.
The following Sunday will be Southern Miss' Senior Day, when it hosts New Mexico State.
