3/17/2019 4:21:00 PM | Men's Tennis
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- It was a calm, cloudy Sunday at the Southern Miss tennis courts, and the Golden Eagle men's team rolled to a 4-0 victory over Florida A&M.
It marked the squad's third consecutive win, as well as a return to action for Teeradon Tortrakul, who had been sidelined since the season's early going due to an injury. He was cruising in doubles alongside Chung-Han Tsai with a 5-2 lead before the point was clinched, then won in singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Jorman Reyes had a new doubles partner in Mieszko Kwasniewski and did not miss a beat in a 6-2 win. Tom Cecchetto also jumped back in the fray and had a nice 6-1, 6-1 sweep in singles.
Southern Miss improved to 28-4 at home the last three years, and its three-match win streak marked its first since defeating New Orleans, Nicholls and Charlotte late last season.
The Golden Eagles have their next two matches at home with Senior Day moving from Sunday, March 24 against New Mexico State to Friday, March 29 versus Prairie View A&M.
