BOONE, N.C. -- The Southern Miss men's tennis team, fresh off two weekend matches in Johnson City, Tennessee, will continue their expansive tour of the area with 1 p.m. CT matches against UNC Greensboro (Thursday) and Applachian State (Friday).
Southern Miss, despite two defeats this weekend, is still holding a 22-18 record in singles play this year. Jorman Reyes and Chung-Han Tsai each have a team-high four wins across five different courts combined. Reyes and Ronit Bisht have been quite reliable on the doubles end, boasting a 3-1 record when able to finish their contests.
The squad (4-5) has only ever faced Appalachian State, and that came in a 5-2 win in 2014. The Mountaineers are 3-9 this year and have found their most consistency with Milo Bargeron in the No. 1 singles, boasting a 5-7 mark. Out of the bevy of doubles pairings, Alex Bera and Campbell Stone's 4-1 mark is the best on the team.
UNCG also has three wins this year, each by 4-3 margins over Radford, James Madison and The Citadel.
The Golden Eagles still have just two home matches on the year, both from Jan. 26-28. Senior Day is Sunday, March 24 against New Mexico State.
