They will first face the No. 9 seeded North Texas on Wednesday.

FRISCO, Texas – The Lady Eagles of Southern Miss are ready and rearing to play in the 2019 Air Force Reserve C-USA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at the Star.

The Championships start on Wednesday, Mar. 13, with the No. 8 seeded Southern Miss facing No. 9 seed North Texas at 11 a.m. CT on Court A at The Star. Southern Miss will be the home team.

The Matchup
Southern Miss (17-12, 9-7), the No. 8 seed, will face No. 9 seed North Texas (14-14, 7-9) for the second time this season when they play in Round One of the Championships on Wednesday. The Lady Eagles first saw the Mean Green when they came to Reed Green on Saturday, Jan. 5. North Texas left with the win, 62-48 over the Lady Eagles. Southern Miss has not played North Texas in postseason play until now. The series is tied at 4-4.

The Championships
The C-USA Championships are played under a single-elimination bracket. The winner of the Southern Miss-North Texas matchup will face the No. 1 seed, Rice, in the Quarterfinals at 11am on Court A at The Star, with the game being broadcast on Stadium.
